# Enums

Some fields take one of a fixed set of values. Compare them exactly, including capitals and spaces: the API answers `"Not Generated"`, not `"NotGenerated"`.

## `paymentStatus`

Incomes and expenses. Where a document stands on payment. Nuvio works it out from the payments matched to the document every time you read it, so it is never stale.

`Pending` 0

Nothing has been paid yet, and the due date has not passed.

`PastDue` 1

Not fully paid, and the due date has passed.

`Paid` 2

The matched payments add up to the total.

`WaitingPayment` 3

Partly paid, and the due date has not passed.

The expense and income list endpoints also accept the index (0–3) when you filter by status.

## `invoiceStatus`

Incomes. Whether an invoice document has been made for the income, and sent.

`Not Generated`

No invoice document has been made yet.

`Generated`

The invoice document has been made.

`Sent`

The invoice has been sent to the customer.

## `transactionType`

Bank transactions. Which way the money moved on the account.

`Money In`

Money received into the account.

`Money Out`

Money paid out of the account.

In an expense

```
{
  "paymentStatus": "WaitingPayment",
  "remainingAmount": 250,
  "dueDate": "2026-11-30"
}
```

In an income

```
{
  "invoiceStatus": "Sent",
  "paymentStatus": "Paid"
}
```
